It's Ontario Coaches Week: Pick Up A Whistle And Make A Difference

OCW_CoverFrom April 17-25th, 2010 dozens of communities around the province are celebrating the positive influence of Coaches. Returning for a fifth year and with funding support from provincial and federal government partners and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, 30 Ontario communities are hosting FREE coach training events. Coaches Honoured At 2009 Ontario Sport Awards

NCI grad, Wendy Morgan (curling) and Anthony McCleary (athletics) were honoured with Female and Male Coach of the Year Awards at the 2009 Ontario Sport Awards, hosted by the Sport Alliance of Ontario. McCleary - Coach of Priscilla Lopes-Schlipe's led her to a gold and silver medal at the Qater Sporting Life Championship and World Outdoor Track and Field Championships respectively in 2009. Morgan, who coaches both able-bodied and wheelchair curling from grassroots to high performance, led the 2009 Canadian Wheelchair Curling team to win five medals including gold at the World Wheelchair Curling Championships.
