As a gymnast at age 14, Charlotte developed a love for the sport thanks to her Coach Patty Sayers. Years later, she was inspired to become a Coach herself and under the direction of Patty, she worked at the Listowel Kippers Gymnastics Club. Since then she has Coached all levels from Kindergym to the Provincial level.
"I've seen a lot of gymnasts over the years and what is really cool is seeing kids that I've coached grow up, start families of their own and come back to the gym either as parents or in some cases, coaching staff," says Charlotte.
Twenty years ago, Charlotte fulfilled one of her life goals by starting the Woolwich Gymnastics Club, which operated out of a public school. This meant that Charlotte and the other staff had to set up and tear down the equipment every night. Last year the club found a permanent home in Elmira with over 7500 square feet.

There are those that watch things happen and those who make things happen. Patricia Howes, Head Coach of the RMC Varsity Fencing Program is with no doubt, someone who makes things happen. After moving to a small town where the closest fencing club was two hours away, Patricia and her husband decided to start their own club and to date, have opened clubs in Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Ontario. With very little coaching experience under her belt, Patricia enrolled in NCCP courses and graduated from the NCI program in 2002.
Fifteen years ago, Rhonda Lewis founded the Toronto Titans Field Hockey Club due to a lack of Junior Field Hockey programs available to her children. Since then, the club has grown ten times in size with more than 100 players ranging from ages 5 to 50 that travel from as far as Buffalo. The club is the only one in the province to field teams in every junior and senior male and female division, and competes regionally, nationally and internationally.
